More first impressions now happen on a screen, and many capable leaders feel stiff the moment a camera turns on.
You are not alone, and a few practical choices make a real difference in how you come across.

Choose clothes that work on camera
Solid or subtly textured fabrics photograph best. Very fine stripes and small checks can shimmer on screen. Mid-tone blues and grays flatter most complexions.
Mind the fit at the shoulders and collar
On a call or in a headshot, the camera sees mostly your shoulders, collar, and tie. A jacket that sits properly there does most of the work.
Sit the way you would in the room
Sit upright and slightly forward. Button your jacket when standing and unbutton it when seated. It looks composed and natural.
Give yourself a moment
Take a breath before you begin. The more settled you feel, the more natural you will look.
